7th annual Hawaiian Isle Festival & Outrigger Canoe Regatta

This up coming weekend (Oct 25th-26th) I will be in Las Vegas competing in our first Outrigger Canoe Regatta. There will be about 10 of us from our Long Beach Nagas Dragon Boat team, who has been practicing really hard preparing for this event. Teams from Canada, Hawaii, and from other parts for the country will be there to compete as well. I'm hoping i'll have time to capture some of the moments from the race to share with the rest of you back home. Until then, thank you for visiting and check back soon! Dany's Curtain and Drapes Business

A few weeks ago, I got a call from a friend of mine, Dany, asking if I can help her capture some pictures of curtains for her. At the time, I thought to myself "Why in the world would you need me to do that?" So I proceeded to ask her, and she gave me a very legitimate point. The reason why she needed my help was because she want some high resolution photos of the curtains and drapes that she and her sister handmade. She wanted to start a business making and selling them, so she'll need pictures for catalogs and websites soon after I release these pictures to her. I must admit, photographing curtains and drapes is not my forte, but I did my best. Here are a few pictures that I'd like to share with you. Michael & Alycia's Wedding 9/27/08

This past Saturday, I had the opportunity to shoot my second wedding - Michael and Alycia's. I must say, the couple was very cool and fun to work with. As a second/third shooter, I was able to get a lot of photos of the guests and unexpected moments. I enjoyed working with Mikal and Huot, as we kept each other company. I look forward to seeing their pictures, and working with them in the future. I also want to congratulate Michael and Alycia on their wedding- The best of luck to the both of them and their new lives together. Thyda's Circus show

The main reason for my trip to Seattle was to spend time with Thyda and her family working on some wedding preparation. One afternoon, we were over at her brother's house, which is an old house that they used to live and grow up in. We found an old unicycle left in the shack in the backyard, and it was the first time I got to see Thyda ride. Though the unicycle was too short and the tire was flat, she managed to show off her told skills. The kids weren't so amused, but told her that she needed a lot of practice. I also got a few shots of her niece and nephews playing... and eating! Good times!
